How To Clean Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a superstrong clear plastic that is virtually unbreakable. This makes it a popular choice for glazing. Our polycarbonate also has a UV coating which is not mar-resistant. This makes it a popular choice for greenhouse and shed glazing.  Keeping polycarbonate clean requires no special cleaners - in fact, such products will very likely cause damage.  Follow these simple steps to keep your polycarbonate clean:
  1. Rinse your polycarbonate sheet or panes with lukewarm water.
  2. Wash your polycarbonate sheet or with a mild soap and lukewarm water.
  3. Choose a soft cloth or sponge to gently wash with an up and down motion.  If you are washing twinwall or multwall polycarbonate, wash in the same direction as the flutes.
  4. Rinse the cloth or sponge and change the water often.
  5. Dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spotting.
Do not scrub or use brushes or squeegees.  Back to All Case Studies
